Rebecca Acord opened the front doors of Sweet Country Charm Fudge & Gifts in 2009. Located in the Swiss Village Plaza in Payson, Arizona, the shop was a showcase store featuring local crafters and artists.
Shortly after opening, Rebecca noticed that many of her guests would ask about a fudge shop that went out of business many years prior. She too missed the old fudge shop that brought so many people joy and happiness. Rebecca was determined to carry on the tradition of crafting fudge. After some quick cooking lessons, Sweet Country Charm smelled of fresh homemade fudge and other sweet treats.
Serving the best fudge in Arizona, Sweet Country Charm Fudge & Gifts became a landmark destination and one of the top things to do in Payson.
Today the shop serves novelty candies, homemade fudge, freeze-dried candy, gourmet truffles, and more! The shop still includes many local crafters and artists from the shop’s origins.
Rebecca came from a small tourist town in Northern Arizona. She dreamed of giving her children the same childhood experiences that she had. So in 1995, her family moved to Payson. Soon after she opened Sweet Country Charm Fudge & Gifts to showcase local crafters, including herself. You can still see many of her art on the walls of the shop today.
Rebecca feels blessed every day for her shop. To be able to enter the shop, along with decadent smells created by all of the sweet treats is a dream come true.
Rebecca is also very involved in her community. She supports and volunteers for Arizona Wild Rescue. Arizona, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of wildlife.
Sweet Country Charm has been a local favorite since 2009. When you walk into the store, you will always be welcomed with local smiles and fresh products. We are more than just a sweet and gift shop. Our goal is promote local businesses and artists, provide a local and authentic experience for visitors, and help make your day just a little sweeter. Find candies from your childhood and share them with your kids. Meet the store mascot, Miss Piper. Enjoy a welcoming atmosphere that truly captures Payson hospitality.
